About Us
For over 25 years, the top floor of the Idle and Thackley Conservative Club has played host to The Little Theatre, enthusiastically converted by Idle and Thackley Theatre Group members past and present to provide a stage, sound and lighting box, dressing rooms, and a kitchen and tea room. These, and many more improvements, have made it into a versatile venue and a pleasant place for audiences to visit.
The venue has a maximum capacity of 100 (80 seated) and stages productions by the Idle and Thackley Theatre Group and a number of other theatre groups, is home to the ITKids Academy of Performing Arts, hosts fairs (at Christmas and at other times of the year), youth groups, martial arts clubs and a comedy club, as well as offering rehearsal facilities to bands.
